The Power of Cloud Certification
Both Azure and AWS certifications are highly regarded in the industry. They validate your cloud expertise and demonstrate commitment to learning. Remember, learn or die, right?
Cloud computing has revolutionized the way businesses operate and individuals use technology. This shift to the cloud brings a number of benefits - flexibility, compute power, scalability, cost effectiveness, etc. - which makes it an attractive choice for businesses of all sizes. Trends like this need people like us to drive this growth and to help advance careers.
Per this IDC article, “…the spending outlook for 2024 is very positive with growth centered on the expectation that cloud-based spending will rebound at a double-digit pace throughout the year."
Long term, IDC predicts global spending on cloud infrastructure will have a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.6% over the 2022-2027 forecast period, reaching $152.0 billion in 2027 and accounting for 68.8% of total compute and storage infrastructure spend.
Employers actively seek certified cloud professionals to manage infrastructure, applications, and data. Certified professionals often earn higher salaries and can lead to competitive compensation packages. Per the Global Knowledge and Payscale survey, earning an Azure certification can lead to salary increases ranging from 10-20% on average compared to non-certified professionals in similar roles. AWS certifications, especially at the associate and professional levels, command a similar earnings boost.
